Zivix's artifacts:
Deceit, +3 short sword
+10 insight bonus to Bluff, Disguise, and Hide checks
+2 to hit when making a sneak attack
+2d6 to sneak attack damage (if the user does not have the ability, the sword will grant it)
Constant Nondetection effect
Alter Self (Sp) 3/day
Greater Invisibility 1/day
Deceit appears to be a very nondescript, and almost poorly maintained short sword to anyone that is not the wielder. There are no fancy decorations on its plain steel hilt and the blade actually appears to have some rust spots on it. To the wielder, however, the hilt's metal is so dark grey as to be almost black with no luster whatsoever, and the blade appears to almost be made out of smoke. The scabbard for this sword also looks old and worn-out to the observer, while the wielder sees a well-tooled black leather scabbard.
Avarice, +3 short sword, Apporting
+10 insight bonus to Appraise, Open Lock, and Disable Device checks
Once per week the sword can be applied to any lock, it will both open it and disable any traps on it
Once per month, the sword can be used to locate the largest treasure (total gp amount, unless priceless) in a 1 mile radius per DR that Zivix currently possesses, there is a drawback to this effect...see below
Gaseous Form (Sp) 3/day
Once the treasure finding ability of Avarice has been used, the user must attempt to gain that treasure. Any deviation from this goal will result in a -1 penalty to all rolls per day not spent pursuing this goal, cumulative. These penalties come back at the rate of one per day when once again pursuing the goal.
Avarice definitely resembles the sword of a king. The hilt is golden and studded with precious gems in a myriad of colors-to the point of being extremely gaudy. The blade shines to an almost mirror-like finish and is inlaid with gold and silver designs. The scabbard seems to have a mother-of-pearl color to it and is trimmed in gold. No amount of dirt or muck ever seems to be able to cling to the sword or its scabbard.
