Bio: Tilanna Ire’wyn is only 5th in her bloodline to serve as regent of the city of Ire’Spire, her great great grandfather was the first generation of gold elves to give rise to the Ire’wynn Spire, and so too the Arcane Order of Erudites. Her lawful organized mentality and astonishing beauty has always lent itself well to a talent in administration and politics. She would rather be secluded away delving into her studies, but her natural gifts are better served elsewhere, according to her father Ari’nor Ire’wynn, Grand Master of the Ire’wynn Commission, and council member of the Arcane Order of Erudites.
Founding
Sometime after the destruction of Clearwater,a sect of elves seeking solitude in their search for a greater understanding of the arcane spun their magic and created a magical fortress in which they would embark on their quest for knowledge. Two towers interwoven with each other that rose into the sky nearly thirty stories. Clad in mithril and wind laced with gold filigree, would serve as a not only a safe haven but a monument to this endeavour.
Century after century, powerful mages, keen adepts, and great thinkers made pilgrimage to Ire’wynn Spire in search of revelation and enlightenment. Slowly more and more buildings began to crop up, at first small arcane orders came to life their desire for knowledge measured in proximity to what they believed the source of one of the greatest repositories of arcane secrets. Then larger more prominent orders gave rise, with them libraries, tome holds, museums and all manner of diverse centers of learning. Over time more and more began to settle the area and a thriving city centered around the arcane and pursuit of knowledge began to flourish.
Current
Many hold Ire’Spire as the seat of magic within the Confederacy. Its athenaeums are legendary and only rivaled in the East by Larkian repositories. The city scape is laced with the great towers of ancient respected orders.
Ire’Spire main export is items of magic's, from the simple wand to the most elaborate staffs can be found or commissioned here. Due to its proximity to the ruins of clearwater archaeologist and commoners alike dig tirelessly to unearth mundane objects, interesting oddities, and curiosities from the ruins to bring them to market.
Recently, Ire’Spire has reasserted itself as a neutral nation with-in the Confederacy, condemning the other nations of the Confederacy of self interest and corruption on a magnitude not seen since the age of Clearwaters destruction. Since this declaration, Ire’Spire has been maneuvering itself away from the troubles of the Confederacy by shutting down its borders and becoming increasingly isolationist. Some cheer at the public admonishments of the Confederacy citing a return to the roots of the city, yet others herald these maneuverings as cowardly rhetoric and indicative of racial inclinations held by the Ire’wynn elves, and almost certainly influenced by the elven nation of Cross River its largest trade partner.
