... ebony slates composes the front and back cover with gold and ruby trim. Upon its face is one striking image of a bastard sword wreathed in two characters "D". On the spine and over the gold raised book bands , Drow calligraphy reads Imperator Divinus translating to Divine Emperor in common. The pages of the text block meld into a glimmering golden finish. ... upon its opening, the book is well organized in two distinct portions and features in detail the many trials and tribulations of Cyian Doth'Dakar and his allies had during his time as a mortal on the prime material. Each entry is thoughtfully composed to extract and reinforce Cyian's dogma with little interpretation to be had. In addition, many testaments from his chosen can be found elaborating or pontificating on specific entries and how they relate to any number of disciplines core to his faith. Cyian himself offers revelations on many subjects imparting his truths to the tome. The latter half of the book Pellaeon inscribes the cannon law of Cyian, and the core dogma, religious rites, sacraments, and a codex of information concerning the vile arts.
A excerpt from the Compendium of War: ...a disorderly mob is no more an army than a heap of building materials is a house. -Cyian
An excerpt from the correspondences to Pellaeon: ...“When you look at organized religion of whatever sort – whether it's Theylin in all his variants, or whether it's the Sardinites or Dardantics – wherever you see organized religion, priesthoods, and power you see the auspex of tyranny and domination. It's almost a universal law. Albeit it makes me smile to see there brand of tyranny flourish as mine would." -Cyian
An excerpt from the Trials at Ardent Falls: ...Some battles are won with swords and spears, others with quills and ravens. It is for the legate to decide the best approach for success, but always remain vigilant accounting for the expenditure of resources and time. -Cyian
An excerpt from the Compendium of Laws: ...If you break the law, do it to seize power, in all other cases observe it.
-Cyian
An excerpt from the Audiences of Kas'ryn: ... When your enemies defy you, you must serve them steel and fire. When they go to their knees, however, you must help them back to their feet in your service, in this collect powerful, loyal, and fearful allies -Cyian
