Developed by Radiant King Illum DeMarco of Irydria, this powerful ritual enables a caster who has dedicated a portion of his own strength to a more powerful familiar to further increase the bond shared between master and familiar. In an 11 minute ritual requiring twelve other casters dedicating a third level spell each, the caster amplifies the master/familiar bond giving each severall benefits.
First, both Master and Familiar gain a +5 Insight bonus to their Armor Class.
Second, the familiar may, as a swift action, drain an uncast spell or spell slot from his master and use it to greatly augment his natural attacks for one round. The familiar gains a +1 circumstance bonus to all attack rolls and +1d6 Damage to its natural attacks per level of the spell drained from his master. A familiar that drains a 6th level spell would then, for that round, gain a +6 circumstance bonus to hit and +6d6 damage on its natural attacks. The familiar must be within one mile of his master to drain a spell from him in this manner.
Third, once per casting of this spell, if the Master is killed his soul moves along their bond and into the familiar's body. It can remain their for 1 hour. If the conditions that led to the masters death are reversed within this hour (Hit point damage is healed, missing parts regenerated, Con Poison neutralized, etc...) his soul returned to his body and he awakens. If the conditions that led to his bodies death are not reversed, after 1 hour the masters soul leaves its familiars body and the natural consequences of death resume. The Master and Familiar must be within 1 mile of each other for this effect to occur.
Fourth, once per casting of this spell, if the Familiar is killed its soul moves along the bond and into the Master's body. It can remain their for 1 hour. If the conditions that led to the familiar's death are reversed within this hour its soul returns to its body and it awakens. If the conditions that led to its death are not reversed, after 1 hour the familiar's soul leaves its masters body and the natural consequences of death resume. The Master and Familiar must be within 1 mile of each other for this effect to occur.
