The Heart of Lotus(Major Artifact)
The Grand Audience Hall of the Imperial Palace of Lotus is a wonder to behold. Without a doubt, however, its most incredible feature is the Heart of Lotus. Thick leaded crystal replaces the marble flooring in a 20'x20 section at the center of the great hall. Below this transparent floor lies the Heart, a massive rose quartz measuring 10'wide and 8' tall and masterfully carved into the shape of a 100 petaled lotus blossom. The quartz blossom rests in a shallow pool of pure water and is surrounded by a circular wall of black granite flecked with gold that is an exact scale replica of the Great Barrier of Lotus. The petals of the crystal flower pulse with a soft pinkish light that deepens to red towards its center.
The Heart of Lotus is a powerful, intelligent artifact crafted by Zaithan Del'Thiir and his wife, Kari Shassa-Telan. It has a cold, distant soldiers mentality, utterly devoted to it's purposes and caring not at all for anything else. It executes its standing orders swiftly and efficiently and without variation. It holds four directives, called Prime Priorities, which it executes in the following descending order of importance.
1. Obey and Advise Zaithan Del'Thiir
2. Defend and Protect itself and the Mythal of Lotus
3. Defend and Protect the Great Barrier of Lotus
4. Monitor and Defend the City of Lotus
In order to execute its Prime Priorities the Heart of Lotus has the following abilities.
Int: 19, Wis: 19, Cha: 10, Ego: 35
Sense: The Heart of Lotus can see/hear/blindsense anything within the great hall of the Imperial Palace. It also has multiple Greater Prying Eyes spells running at any point in time that allow it to view events throughout the city in real time. These eyes appear as pink/red/or purple lotus blossoms that float throughout the city.
Lesser Powers: 20 ranks in Psicraft, 20 ranks in Spellcraft, Locate Object 5xday (within city walls), Project animated map of the city of Lotus @will.
Greater Powers: Locate Creature 5xday (within city walls), Mythal Bonding (Allows the Heart access to all powers of the Mythal of Lotus), Cognizance Crystal (Can hold up to 500 power points which are accessible to Zaithan Del'Thiir as long as he is within the city walls.
Special Purpose: Greater Prying Eyes @will caster level 30th
Unique Power: Partitioned Mind. When necessary, the Heart of Lotus can partition its intellect into 5 distinct sections. This function allows it to take one full action in each of the cities five sections per round, using its abilities or the mythal's as needed.
As a major artifact, the Hear of Lotus is virtually immune to damage and rebuffs attempts to dispel or disjoin its power. A DC: 45 Knowledge Psionics check reveals rumors that the Heart of Lotus can only be destroyed by showering it with the blood of its creator (Zaithan Del'Thiir) and then overloading it by dumping twice its normal capacity of power points into it.
