The State of Things
Being an account of the state of the Three Worlds at 5a668y (Beginning of Sardinal's next game)
1. Gods
Two major events rocked the heavens of the Three Worlds in this time. The first, just a day after the end of The Rage War and the events that reforged the Hearthome Confederacy into the Kingdom of Irydria, was the sudden exodus of Dardanis, the God of Magic, from the Pantheon of Good. All over the three worlds, priests and warriors of faith of Lawful Good and Chaotic Good alignment lost their connection to Dardanis, never to regain it. The leylines of the three worlds flared to life, the white-blue energy normally seen when such a thing happens was observed by all to deepen to a royal blue laced with silver. In the years to come, churches dedicated to Dardanis would begin to spring up in Lark and other dark places as the Master of All Spells began to accept evil worshipers.
Second, the night following the Dardanite fall from grace, mortals all over the three worlds had dreams of a world of peace, of giving and serving those in need, and of martyrdom as Myr Valar ascended to Godhood. He took on the portfolio of life, endurance, service to the needy and poor, peace, and martyrdom. The faith of Myr takes hold early in Irydria, where his years of work as a Chosen of Thelin had made the peacesworn healer quite famous. The other good gods readily accept Myr into the fold.
2. Immortals
By 5a668y a large and growing group of Immortal beings walk the Three Worlds. The prestige, infamy, and power connected to these beings has changed the face of adventuring. Ambitious men and women of all credos, skills, and abilities now know that multiple paths to immortality exist and seek to walk those paths themselves.
Most of these powerful immortals fall into the ranks of The Chosen. Individuals whose dedication and service to their God and whose power and exploits have earned them distinction among their Churches touched by the Deity they serve and gifted with Grace and Immortality. Perhaps more shocking, however, are the other Immortals. Men and women of such power that they have forged their own magical means of extending their lives.
However it is achieved, Immortals walk all three of the Worlds, inspiring the quest to match...or even surpass their exploits in all the adventurers around them.

A. Airships
In 5a110y a wonder was born into the world...the first airship. Created by the now famous gnome Gimble Cloudromper Gnosby, The Worthy Venture was a masterpiece of both ship and magical design. Gimble and his companions, including Setzer Amaruso (The Chosen of Zivix), Solarian the Erudite, and Myr Valar (once chosen of Thelin and now a God), would go on to even more fame and fortune adventuring from its decks. In 5a119y Gimble opened Cloudromper Shipwrighting in the city of Lustria. There, in a small storefront, his salescrew began showing ship designs to potential buyers. When an order was placed the design and requested specifications would be sent on to Gimble and construction would begin at his secret facilities. His first two sales were to Lustria itself. In the years since the secrets of air ships have moved into the hands of governments with Irydria, Lark, Lustria, some elven countries, and Es'Dreary'Lar each having some few ships. Irydria and Lark have invested the most in this new air power, both gaining a small but effective fleet of five or six such ships.
In 5a359y Gimble shocked the world again when he unveiled The Excelsior Smirk, an airship far more massive and powerful than anything before conceived. More than five times size of The Worthy Venture, The Excelsior Smirk featured more speed, fascinating stealth and firepower improvements, and a pair of small single person craft called The Amaruso Dart and The Romp-Racer with internal docks. The Excelsior Smirk, often called Gimble's Smirk, first proved itself defending a pair of Freetraders heading towards Farshore from fleet of five pirate ships. The Freetraders report The Smirk quickly sinking three of the five pirate ships before her crew boarded the last two taking the pirate leadership into custody. Today, The Excelsior Smirk stands as the single finest, most powerful airship in Severall and Gimble closely guards the secrets of such an epic ship.
B. Mythals
When Kari Shassa-Telan created the first mythal over her capital, Stillmist, she unleashed knowledge of a power that would change the face of Severall completely. Soon after, the Empire of Lark began erecting it's own mythals, first over Lark and Lotus, then others. Irydria began its mythal construction just a little more than a century later starting in the capital and then adding ones over Hearthome, Irespire, and others. Even the drow have erected a mythal over Heartwood. These magically protected cities have since become even more populous and the price of property protected by the mythal has skyrocketed.
