Alternate Class Abilities:
Bonding of Nathis: (Druid)

Weather Sense: (ex) At first level the Tamer of the Skies learns to see and read the patterns in the winds, pressure, and moisture of the area they are in to predict the coming weather. The Tamer knows exactly what weather to expect (not including magical changes to the weather) in advance of its coming out to 1 day per class level.
Storm Sight: (su) At second level the Tamer of the Skies communion with weather grants him the ability to see clearly through adverse conditions. The Tamer of the Skies can see clearly through natural and magical fogs/gasses/precipitation for 5 feet per class level.
Amplify Storm: (su) At third level the Tamer of the Skies can use his relationship with the element of air to boost the power of certain spells. As a free action he may spend a single Rebuke Air Creature attempt to increase the die type of any spell with the Air or Electricity Descriptor by one step. He may only spend one such attempt on any given spell.
Twisting Bolt (su): At 4th level, a Tamer of the Skies can redirect nearby electrical attacks. As an immediate action, the Tamer can shift the area or target of an electricity attack by 5 feet in any direction. If the electricity affects an area, the druid selects one square to be unaffected and an adjacent square to be affected (if this square is already in the area, this has no additional effect in that area). If the electricity affects a target, the Tamer selects an adjacent target. She cannot redirect electricity damage conducted to her by physical contact with an object or creature (such as a shocking grasp or a shock weapon). She can use this ability a number of times per day equal to her Charisma bonus. For example, if she were in the line of a wizard’s lightning bolt, she could have the spell skip her square and instead affect an adjacent square, even if this meant the spell did not form a continuous line. If a druid attacked her with call lightning, she could shift the targeted bolt to an adjacent square, hitting a creature in that square (if any).
Seize the Sky: At 5th level the Tamer of the Skies can attempt to seize control of any persistent weather effect created by another spellcaster provided he is in the area. This ability requires a Standard Action. The Tamer of the Skies and the original caster make opposed caster level checks, with modifiers from the following table. If the Tamer of the Skies wins the check, he gains control over the spell. The spell functions as though the Tamer of the Skies had cast it from that point on except that variable numeric effects remain at the caster level of the original caster.. If the spell requires concentration, the Tamer of the Skies must maintain that concentration, if he does not the spell reverts back to the control of the original caster. If the spell is dismissible, the Tamer of the Skies must make another opposed caster level check with the original caster to dismiss it. If that check fails, the original caster regains control of the spell. If it succeeds, the spell is dismissed.
Factor Bonus/Minus
Tamer of the Skies spends a single Rebuke Air Creature attempt +2
(Only one such Rebuke can be spent per Seize Attempt)
Spell is Lower than the Highest Level Spell the Tamer can cast +1 per spell level lower
Spell is Higher than the Tamer can normally cast -2 per spell level higher
Spell is not on the Tamers Class List -2
The following Spells can be affected by Seize the Skies:
Control Winds, Control Weather, Call Lightning, Call Lightning Storm, Storm of Vengeance, Storm of Elemental Fury, Thunderhead, Sleet Storm, Whirlwind, Whirlwind Greater, Waterspout. Other spells may be affected as well at the Gm’s discretion.
Superior Control: At 6th level the control the Tamer of the Skies can exert over the weather begins to grow. At 6th level both the casting time of Control Weather and the speed at which changes to the weather manifest is reduced by 1 minute. For each level past six these times are further reduced by one minute, to a mini
Storm Walk: (ex) Beginning at 7th level a Tamer of the Skies (and his mount, if any) can walk, ride, or fly through storms (natural or magical) at his normal movement rate completely unaffected by high winds (including gust of wind spells), pounding precipitation or waves, objects driven by the wind (which always seem to miss him), great claps of thunder, natural bolts of lightning, or any other natural effects of a storm. Directed effects (other than gust of wind) by other casters are unaffected by this ability.
Gale Lord: (Su) At 9th level the Tamer of the Skies ability to manipulate Control Weather spells advances. He gains the ability to add effects to his Control Weather spells, or Control Weather spells he seizes control of using his Elemental turn Attempts. Using each ability is a standard action unless otherwise noted.
Turn Attempt Expenditure Effect
1 Microburst: The Tamer of the Skies unleashes a ferocious blast of Wind in a 10 foot wide line 60 feet long. The wind is two steps higher on the wind effects chart ( RC page 157) than the prevailing wind conditions. If that takes It beyond the chart increase the fort save by 2 for each step beyond the chart.
1 Ride the Lightning: When casting any spell with the Electricity, Descriptor in the area of a Control Weather effect he controls The Tamer of the Skies may transport himself to any square . Adjacent to one affected by the spell as part of the casting or effect.
2 Sheet Lightning: The Tamer of the Skies unleashes a sheet of Lightning that blasts across the area. This effect is similar to A Call Lightning Storm effect except the Tamer gets one bolt per two caster levels all at once. Only one bolt can hit a given square. The Tamer may use his Amplify Storm ability in conjunction with Sheet Lightning.
2 Flash Freeze: The Tamer calls down a column of air from the Upper atmosphere. Creatures in the column take 15d6 cold damage and are slowed (as the spell). A successful Fort Save halves the damage and negates the slow effect. The Area Is 20’ radius and 100’ tall.
4 Hasten Weather: The Tamer of the Skies can half the time it takes for an effect of his Control Weather spell to manifest.
Storm of the Century: At 10th level the ability of the Tamer of the Skies to control the weather reaches its zenith. The area covered by any Control Weather spell cast by the Tamer of the Skies is doubled. A Control Weather spell taken by the Tamer via his Seize the Sky ability can be increased
to his maximum area with a Standard Action. Furthermore, the Tamer of the Skies can shift the base season of the area under his Control Weather effect by one in either direction. This change takes 3x the normal amount of time to manifest ( modified by the Tamers other abilities).
