Half-Drow
The uncommon Half-Drow often lead very difficult lives. Most half-drow are the product of the few good drow that live among human civilizations. They also occur with some frequency within the Empire of Lark. Some few half-drow are born within pure drow societies, normally rising from drow seeking pleasure from human slaves. These half-drow almost never survive to adulthood. half-drow children can only occur from the coupling of Drow and Humans. Drow and Elf unions can produce offspring, but the child is invariably either pure elf or pure drow.
However they arise, half-drow face challenging lives. Those born among humans are often mistrusted, as if their evil drow parentage could rear up within them at any moment. They have difficult childhoods, generally with few friends and those few they do have inevitable grow and mature much more quickly. Often, their human parent has passed on before the half-drow child has reached maturity (normally between 25 and 30 years).
Half-Drow born within pure Drow cultures are normally sacrificed to Korrik. The babe is anointed in scented oils and fed a mixture of milk, drow blood, and herbs to make it sleep. The Clerics of Korrik then perform a sacrifice ritual, entreating Korrik to take the child and give him another life as a full drow.
The Half-drow of Severall can have almost any combination of human and drow physical characteristics. They are generally shorter and slighter than humans, standing between 4'10" and 5'10" and weighing 95 - 170 lbs.
Half-drow skin can be any normal drow or human color, but is most often a shade of grey. Most half-drow have little to no body hair and only about %50 of males can grow facial hair.
Half-drow hair is usually lightly colored, shade of white, blond, and light browns are most common. Occasionally, pale white-reds, blacks and grays appear as well.
Half-drow eyes have the deep red pupils of their drow parentage. Their iris's can be of any color common to humans.

Humans are the most comfortable with them, especially is the half-drow in question was raised among them. many, however, harbor a distrust for the half-breed.
